What is the Permission Approval Workflow?
The permission approval workflow is Railinc’s controlled process for granting access to its applications. This ensures only authorized users can access sensitive and business-critical systems. It involves several coordinated steps, maintaining security and compliance, and supports the unique needs of railroads and industry partners.
Key Steps in the Workflow
The user submits a permission request through the Railinc Launchpad
If the organization has a designated Company Administrator for the application, the request is routed to the them for review. The Admin validates the user’s identity and business need before approving or denying the request
If no Company Administrator is designated for the organization, the request is reviewed internally by Railinc administrators following the same validation criteria

Once approved, the appropriate permissions are granted and the user receives a notification confirming access to the application
