A user's assigned permissions determine the information they can view and functions they can perform. Permissions can be requested through Railinc's SSO Launch Pad and are reviewed by Railinc.
User Roles
- Fleet Manager
- Grant users the ability to create and manage fleets, manage locations and search equipment.
- Fleet managers can search equipment and download the equipment history of equipment that are assigned to their fleets. For equipment that isn’t in one of their fleets, an error message will show the information is confidential.
- Equipment Owner
- Grant users ability to remove equipment from fleets and search equipment.
- Equipment owners can search and download equipment history of equipment that they own.
- Permissions are limited to private marks only.
- Railroad User
- Grant users ability to create and manage disposition requests, search controlling entity and storage information for equipment.
- Railroad users can search and download a list of equipment that they possess.
- Permissions are limited to railroad marks only.
