Use these instructions to associate a registered component to a piece of equipment in Umler Component Tracking.
Steps to Associate a Component to Equipment
- Sign in to “Launch Pad” and open “Umler”.
- From the Umler menu bar, select “Component Registry” > “Associate Component”.
- In “Equipment ID”, enter the ID and select “Search”.
- In the search results, choose a “Component Type” from the drop‑down list.
- Complete the component details.
- Select the checkbox beside the position where the component is applied.
- Enter the “AAR Component ID”.
- If the ID is unknown, select the lookup icon to open Component Search.
- Enter the required fields and select “Search”.
- Select the checkbox for the component and choose “Select” to return.
- Enter the application details.
- Use the calendar icon to choose the applied date.
- Enter the performer mark.
- Use the SPLC icon to search for the SPLC or enter the nine‑digit SPLC.
- Add additional component rows if needed.
- When all entries are complete, select “Associate”.
- If the component is under recall, review “Component Details” and choose “Cancel” or “OK”.
- If the component is associated to another equipment ID, review “Component Details” and choose “Cancel” or “OK”.
- If there are no warnings, a success message appears on the Associate Component tab.
